Smith’s Grocery Store has a new program in which you can support our organization.

Smith’s Inspiring Donations will donate 0.5% of every eligible purchase made by supporters to the Organization that the customer has linked to their rewards card.

Please Follow the simply instructions below to sign up and find our organization:

Simply encourage your participants to visit http://www.smithsfoodanddrug.com/inspire. Once logged into their Smith's Food & Drug account they can search for You Gotta Love Them either by name or SB014 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a rewards card.

REMEMBER, purchases will not count for your organization until after your participants register their rewards card.

Understanding our Role

Many of the birds we rescue will unfortunately never be able to return to the wild. This is due to either serious permanent injuries and/or human imprinting. Human imprinting will (in general) lead to a bird losing its natural instincts to find food, stay safe from predators, and survive in the wild. We are dedicated to providing a “forever home” for the birds that will not be able to survive without us.

Rescued Mockingbird born with a deformed beak making it very difficult to eat or drink without being hand- fed. His survival is entirely dependant upon us.

Covid-19's Effect on our Organization

Unfortunately (like many other busniesses and organizations) we are experiencing very trying times due to the virus. We need the help of our loyal supporters and the general community more than ever before so that we can continue to save lives and keep our sanctuary afloat. The financial strain is ongoing and we are in great need of your support in the form of donations and volunteer work in order for us to continue on our mission and provide great care for the hundreds of lives our faciliy shelters. We greatly appreciate everyone who has graciously contributed their money, time, and effort to ensure that our animals continue to recieve the loving care they are accustomed to. Every dollar we recieve goes directly towards the welfare of injured and/or unwanted feathery friend.
